Can the Invaiding carp be repelled by this method?
Does anyone know if it has ever been tried?

Yes, installing sound barriers is in the plans, as well as bubble barriers and others. Check the USACE Chicago website and the latest action:

Hypothesis:
Use the infrasound technology in a known Aisian Carp population area, as we already know they are hyper-sensitive to frequency/vibration
Determine best response infrasound frequency.
Incorporate best response frequency (attatched to a boat) and travel the tributaries beginning at Lake Michigan all the way to the Mississippi.
May also be a better confirmation test for eDNA positive waterways.
